California Raisin Marketing Board Hosts Raisin Cookie Competition

The California Raisin Marketing Board, along with Pastry Chicago, will sponsor the 4th Annual Amateur/Student Cookie Raisin Cookie Competition April 16 at the Whole Foods-Lincoln Park, Chicago from 1-4 p.m.  

The California Raisin Marketing Board (CRMB), Fresno, Calif., along with Pastry Chicago, a Chicago-based volunteer association that provides educational events for the development and promotion of the pastry arts, will sponsor the 4th Annual Amateur/Student Cookie Raisin Cookie Competition April 16 at the Whole Foods-Lincoln Park, Chicago from 1-4 p.m.  

Come by for some scrumptious raisin cookie recipes, take your photo with the California Dancing Raisin and watch cookie baking demonstrations by chef Della Gossett of The French Pastry School of Kennedy-King College at City Colleges of Chicago.  
"The Marketing Board's (CRMB) strategy in partnering with Pastry Chicago and the French Pastry School of Chicago is to remind home bakers and baking enthusiasts that California raisins are a healthy addition to all bakery products.  We want home baking to become fun, tasty and good for you, and the Cookie Competition is a great way to engage all those who love the art of baking and showcase options for consumers who are looking for delicious and health-conscious bakery products," says Rick O’Fallon, marketing director for CRMB.
