Natural Products, Inc. has added bakery technologist Gregory Stempien, who will oversee all of NPI’s technical support program and internal research and development.

“Greg will be a huge asset to NPI and its customers,” says Jon Stratford, sales and marketing manager of the Grinnell, Iowa-based manufacturer of food ingredients. “His background working with cakes and breads, his knowledge of proteins and fiber, and his experience helping customers to use alternative ingredients fit perfectly with the direction we are going. Greg has the background to take our technical services to the next level.”

Stempien comes to NPI with more than 20 years experience formulating grain-based food products such as cakes, muffins, breads and rolls. In his new role, Stempien will oversee all research and development in NPI’s bakery lab, including application development and scale-up assistance for customers, as well as the development of new ingredients.
