The new co-chairs of the ELDC and ELCD public policy forum program will begin serving their terms in January 2011.


The American Bakers Association, Washington, D.C., named Miles Dennis, Flowers Foods, and Tim Marron, BCW Food Products, as co-chairs of its Executive Leadership Development Committee (ELDC). The ELDC public policy forum program co-chairs for 2011will be Connie Vaughan of McKee Foods and Pete Frederick of Milner Milling Co.

The ELDC is dedicated to developing the future leadership of the baking industry and the American Bakers Association by bringing together executives in a forum that informs participants on industry trends; encourages active participation in the public policy discussions, the political process and their impact on the wholesale baking industry; educates participants on the role of the ABA and its activities and develops personal leadership and management skills.

Its next planning meeting takes place on Mar. 27, 2011, during ABA’s convention in San Antonio, Texas, in conjunction with the ABA Convention at the J.W. Marriott San Antonio. All ABA members are encouraged to attend. The ELDC public policy forum will be held September 2011 in Washington.
