Amy McDonald becomes the vice president sales for the food texture and stabilization solutions company after a lab/sales career that complements her new path.

TIC Gums, White Marsh, Md., names Amy McDonald vice president of sales. Her career started in the lab, but she is now focused on taking the industry leader to a new level of growth.

McDonald is the former vice president of sales and chief revenue officer at FONA International, which develops flavors for a broad variety of food applications, including confection, beverage, bakery/snacks and nutritionals.

“We’ve found an individual with the depth and breadth of experience needed to take us to the next level,” says Greg Andon, president. “Amy’s experience in operations, marketing and revenue generation only serves to compliment her already impressive track record in sales.”

McDonald’s career started out at a work bench in the labs of former fragrance and flavor giant Quest International. She served in various capacities at Quest, working in technology, marketing and sales, ultimately becoming vice president for its ingredients division, responsible for North and South American operations.

Following the acquisition by Kerry, later named Kerry Bio-Science, McDonald stayed on as vice president, Americas, with direct management of both the America's as well as the company's global pharmaceutical business.

McDonald’s focus will be a higher and broader level of relationships with key customers.
