The Terre Haute, Ind., company says it won Level 3 status after completing another successful Safe Quality Food (SQF) audit. The SQF program is a global food safety and quality certification program and management system designed to meet the needs of buyers and suppliers worldwide.

Clabber Girl Corp., Terre Haute, Ind., won Level 3 status upon completing another Safe Quality Food audit. The audits provide independent certification that a supplier’s food safety and quality management system complies with international and domestic food safety regulations.

Conducted in December 2010, the onsite audit involved observing processes to ensure that they match written procedures as well as interviewing employees from all departments. The re-certification offers suppliers the ability to assure customers that their products have been produced, processed, prepared and handled according to the highest possible standards.

“SQF certification gives us the opportunity to provide our customers with verification that we are taking the steps necessary to produce safe, quality food,” says Gary Morris, president and COO of Clabber Girl. “We have made it part of our mission to provide our customers with a great food experience, and continuous improvement is part of that commitment to exceed our customers’ expectations.”
