Chabaso Bakery did its part in 2010 to help reduce hunger. In fact, the New Haven, Conn., company made substantial donations of bread, volunteer time and organizational efforts to several charitable organizations, causes and events.

“The company’s 2010 donations have totaled 170,000 loaves of bread and other baked goods distributed to more than 50 organizations,” says Dorothy Radlicz, director of marketing,

Among the dozens of Chabaso bread recipients are several soup kitchens, schools, churches and medical facilities. Chabaso also contributed to awareness-raising events, such as road races and charity walks. The Connecticut Food Bank is a daily recipient of Chabaso’s generosity, serving 650 food-assistance programs and feeding more than 300,000 people each year.
