Food Survey Uncovers World's Top Food Choices

A recent study from Oxfam International reveals pizza as the most favorite food in the United States.


Pizza ranked as the most favorite food in the United States, chosen by 15.2% of the respondents to a study conducted by Oxfam International, Boston. A total of 16,422 people over the age of 16 participated in the survey. The respondents came from 17 countries, including Australia, Brazil, Germany, Ghana, Guatemala, India, Kenya, Mexico, Netherlands, Pakistan, Philippines, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Tanzania, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Results from the survey also show that pasta, meat and rice are the world's Top 3 food choices. Another notable trend is the popularity of Chinese food in Latin-American countries. Chinese food ranked as the second favorite in Mexico, selected by 7.1%, and the third favorite in Guatemala, preferred by 6.4%.

Pasta is the world’s most popular food, according to the findings.
