Organic packaged food makes market inroads

A new report on the U.S. organic food market indicates that the market in the United States is seeing much faster growth versus the conventional food market and shows no signs of slowing down.

RNCOS E-Services Pvt. Ltd., which specializes in industry intelligence and creative solutions for contemporary business segments, has issued a report called “U.S. Organic Food Market Analysis,” which points to the U.S. organic food market as seeing faster growth than the conventional food market. The U.S. is considered a suitable platform for organic food industry to boom as it is the largest economy and has highest per capita income in the world. Not much impact of economic slowdown has been witnessed in the U.S. organic food industry compared with the overall food industry, says the report. The organic packaged and processed food segment has shown a notable growth in the recent years. In addition, it’s expected that the organic packaged and processed food segment will surge at a remarkable CAGR of around 15% from 2011 to 2015.

Americans show acceptance for organic packaged and processed food with the advancement in the packaging and refrigeration techniques. Consumers equate organics to quality and superior taste, says the study. All of these factors present this segment’s promising development in future.
