Urschel Laboratories, Inc., has constructed a 14,000-sq.-ft. No-Bake foundry in less than one year. At a cost of $3.5 million, the foundry incorporates the latest technology in molding, melting and recycling with completely automated operating systems. The term “No-Bake” derives from earlier mold making processes that required baking liquid chemicals to bond sand grains together.
Turkington Industries agrees to purchase APV Baker’s Goldsboro, N.C., operation. The sale will be completed by the end of August 2004. The newly formed company will trade initially as Turkington APV - USA.
