Kite, Matalin, Thompson to Headline ABA Convention

The American Bakers Association (ABA) is putting together a powerhouse lineup for its 2006 annual convention, with a golf legend, an outspoken political commentator and a former senator/current TV star highlighting the show.
The convention runs from March 22-25 at the Phoenician in Scottsdale, Ariz.
PGA Tour Champion Tom Kite will attend the ABA’s Political Education Committee golf tournament on March 24. Kite won the U.S. Open in 1992 and served as captain of the U.S. Ryder Cup Team in 1997. He is currently on the Senior PGA Tour.
In addition, Mary Matalin, former assistant to President George W. Bush and frequent TV political commentator, will be the keynote speaker at the political action committee’s dinner held at the convention.
Finally, former Sen. Fred Thompson (R-Tenn.), who also makes weekly appearances on the popular “Law and Order” series, will speak at the Allied Trades of the Baking Industry (ATBI) breakfast.
