The 2012 American Bakers Association convention drew more than 250 industry professionals to Scottsdale, Ariz., for a packed, multi-day program. The sessions covered a diverse range of topics, from the technical issue of biotech wheat to the inspirational narrative from Navy SEAL/humanitarian Eric Greitens on the making of leaders and the importance of perseverance and service.

The program also featured policy discussions in the form of a baking industry issue-focused panel, consisting of bakers who participate in ABA’s policy committees. Governor Mike Huckabee finished off his presentation with an impassioned speech at the ABA’s Political Action Committee (PAC) dinner about the greatness of America, and why we all have a responsibility to shape its course through the political system.

The meeting’s full details will be published in the ABA’s post-convention issue of its Bulletin newsletter.
