Hostess launches new wheat versions of Wonder Bread

Wonder bread from Hostess, Irving, Texas, is now available in three new wheat varieties that combine wholesome nutrition with a delicious taste. New Wonder 100% Whole Wheat, Honey Wheat and Wheat Sandwich breads are baked with no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives and contain 25% less sodium than traditional wheat breads, according to the company. They also have 0 g. of trans-fat. Each variety offers a different twist on wheat bread to meet a range of tastes and nutritional needs. New Wonder Wheat Sandwich bread is an everyday option that provides a good source of fiber and folic acid, while Wonder Honey Wheat offers the nutrition of whole grains with a touch of sweetness that kids will love. Wonder 100% Whole Wheat bread contains 28 g. of whole grains per serving.

The packaging for all of Wonder’s new wheat varieties feature “Nutritional Notes,” which display important nutritional facts to help busy families make informed choices. “American families are increasingly opting for healthier foods and looking for ways to reduce their intake of sodium and increase the amount of dietary fiber and whole grains in their diets,” says Stephanie Fletcher, brand manager for Hostess. “Wonder makes it easier and more delicious to make healthy choices with our new line of wheat breads that offer the nutrition families want from a brand they know and love.”

Wonder 100% Whole Wheat, Honey Wheat and Wheat Sandwich breads are available in grocery stores across the country.
