The Tortilla Industry Association, Arlington, Va., is rotating the dates of its annual convention and conference in 2013. The Convention & Trade Exposition will be held next year on May 10-11 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, while the tech seminar will be slated for Oct. 5-6, in conjunction with the International Baking Industry Exposition (IBIE) at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

By scheduling the convention in May, TIA will be able to again co-locate with IBIE, which will make it easier for TIA exhibitors by not having to attend two back-to-back shows in the fall. “We did this in 2009 with great results (attendance at the Tech Seminar doubled due to IBIE’s traffic),” says TIA CEO Jim Kabbani. “We now plan on keeping this rotation every year going forward, so you can plan on the convention in May and the tech conference in the fall.”
