IDDBA elects 2012-2013 officers and board

The International Dairy-Deli-Bakery Association, Madison, Wis., elected its officers and board of directors for 2012-2013 at its recent annual meeting in Chicago. Voni Woods, senior director of deli, Giant Eagle Inc., Harmony, Pa., was elected as the association’s 49th president. Woods has served on the board since 2006 and has been actively involved in several committees. Steve Beekhuizen, senior vice president of sales for Dawn Food Products Inc., Littleton, Colo., continues to serve on the board as past president.

Other new officers include Bill Klump, senior vice president of marketing for Butterball, LLC, Garner, N.C., executive vice president; Dave Leonhardi, director of education and events at Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board Inc., Madison, vice president; and John Cheesman, vice president sales-corporate accounts, Maplehurst Bakeries, LLC, Brownsburg, Ind., treasurer.

The industry leaders serving three-year terms on the IDDBA board are Beekhuizen; Cheesman; Glenn Harmon, senior vice president, PriceSmart Inc., Miami; Klump; Ed Meyer, vice president of meat and seafood, Schnuck Markets Inc., St. Louis; Mark Rudy, vice president of sales, Hubert Co., Harrison, Ohio; J.K. Symancyk, COO, Meijer Inc., Grand Rapids, Mich; Dotty VanderMolen, senior account executive, Advantage Waypoint, LLC, Grand Rapids, Mich; and Woods.
