Salient hires David Giannetto as SVP, partners with HighJump Software

David F. Giannetto joins Salient Management Co., Horseheads, N.Y., as senior vice president, performance management. He is a nationally respected thought leader in the areas of business intelligence, business performance management, information management and analytics, and co-author and creator of The Performance Grid management methodology.

In this newly created role, Giannetto will lead Salient’s transformational services, including its marketing efforts and on-site client technical services and business consulting.

“Under David, we will unify all of our consulting efforts from business to applications to organizational performance at the customer level, so that we have a single viewpoint and method of execution,” says Guy Amisano, Salient CEO. “This new role is in line with our fundamental mission of helping our clients operate as efficiently and profitably as possible.”

In other news, Salient has appointed Minneapolis-based HighJump Software as an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partner for its Salient Dashboard Miner and Dashboard Viewer. A global provider of supply chain management software with more than 4,500 customers, HighJump is developing a new integrated solution for the direct-store-delivery market based on Salient’s technology. Initial purchases of the new browser-based, platform-independent business intelligence solution, called OmniTech Decision, are already underway.
