IBIE 2013 announces media sponsors

BNP Media, the Troy, Mich.-based publishing company that owns Snack Food & Wholesale Bakery magazine, will once again join forces with the International Baking Industry Exposition (IBIE) as an official media sponsor for the 2013 event.

Three leading publishers in the grain-based food industry, including BNP Media, have entered into official media sponsorships to provide in-print and online promotional opportunities, support for targeted marketing activities and educational programming. Media sponsors will also work closely with IBIE to convey news and reports of show developments in print and electronic communications.

The 2013 event, which will be held Oct. 6-9 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, is expected to bring the entire professional baking community together in record numbers. The 500,000-net-sq.-ft. event will showcase the industry’s latest technologies, equipment and new product introductions as well as offer cutting-edge seminars, demonstrations and networking events.

“These media partnerships proved instrumental in achieving the objectives that led to the tremendous growth and success of the 2010 show,” said Mike Beaty, executive vice president of supply chain for Flowers Foods Inc., Thomasville, Ga., and IBIE committee chair. “By re-engaging in our partnerships for the 2013 show, IBIE will be able to continue to expand the reach and scope of the marketing campaigns to an even broader and more diverse audience.

“IBIE selected BNP Media due to its commitment to and reputation for delivering timely, relevant news to leaders in volume baking and snack food manufacturing.”

The BNP portfolio of media will provide IBIE access to markets domestically and abroad via Snack Food & Wholesale Bakery, Refrigerated & Frozen Foods, Candy Industry and Industria Alimenticia. Snack Food & Wholesale Bakery is also serving as the official media sponsor for IBIE’s B.E.S.T. (Becoming Environmentally Sustainable Together) in Baking Program, which recognizes suppliers that have made a commitment to offering sustainable products and services.

Sosland Publishing Co., Kansas City, Mo., and Penton Media Inc., New York, were also selected as official media sponsors by IBIE.
