The Data Logger TR-76Ui-H from TandD Corp. is a three-channel recorder designed to simultaneously measure and record CO2 concentrations, temperature and humidity. The unit achieves a temperature measurement accuracy of ±0.3 deg. C between 10-40 deg. C. The accuracy is ±0.5 deg. C at all other temperatures. The overall range is -30 to 80 deg. C. TR-76Ui-H can store up to 8,000 data sets and comes with software to download recorded data to a PC via USB connection. ITW Muller has enhanced its Raptor Series of turntable machines with the addition of Raptor Plus. The new machine boasts an easy-to-use control panel that enables users to create customized wrap patterns and can wrap up to 35 loads per hour. Egan Food Technologies’ improved chocolate-molding line has more than two dozen design changes for improved equipment performance. Most notably, the line features a continuous, captured-chain mold circuit that improves production capacity for chocolate manufacturers. The new mold circuit also offers smoother operation and higher depositing speeds, while eliminating the stop-and-start routine for mold deposits. Other design features include an oscillating, two-axis depositor; simple disassembly for quick changeovers and improved sanitation; and an enclosed depositor to maintain processing heat.
Key Technology introduces several enhancements to its Iso-Flo family of stainless-steel vibratory conveyors. Key’s new patent-pending drive arrangement includes a unique motor mount that’s integral with the base frame and an electrical circuit. The traditional tubular frame has been replaced with a shaped plate frame that is up to 1.5 times stronger, open and easy to clean. For Iso-Flo conveyors with screens, a new over-center screen clamp locks the screen into place, assuring proper alignment. The new clamp also enables operators to remove and replace the screen without tools.

Mocon Inc. adds three new accessories for its OpTech oxygen test system for food applications. The upgrades include a portability kit that pairs the OpTech reader with a 9-in. tablet in a carrying case for mobile testing away from the lab. A new needle attachment with fluorescing sensor material on its tip enables users to test packages with very little headspace, as well as to measure the dissolved oxygen concentration in liquid products. The new patent-pending ImPULSE sensor is designed to work with packaging incorporating opaque materials or retort packages. A tack with fluorescent sensor material punctures the package and adheres via a self-sealing adhesive.

It is National Sanitation Foundation (Standard 51) and ADCF compliant. Preferred by the food industry, the tubing has a smooth, nonporous bore that won’t trap particles or promote bacterial growth.
