Center for Trends and Technology debuts at PACK EXPO Las Vegas
Sponsored by Rockwell Automation and its PartnerNetwork program, the Center for Trends and Technology at PACK EXPO Las Vegas 2013 will be located at the show’s Central Hall, Booth 1358. CTT will serve as a gathering spot for attendees who want to learn about new and emerging technologies to improve production. It will host cutting-edge learning sessions and dynamic displays spotlighting trends such as network security, line integration, secure remote monitoring, cloud computing and manufacturing convergence. Showgoers can then be shown where to see the solutions in action across the show floor.
“We’re excited about this opportunity,” says Mike Wagner of Rockwell Automation. “Visitors to CTT will find new ways to achieve their goals as they explore how the technologies on display can help them to shorten time to market, maximize technology investments and facilitate regulatory compliance and ultimately strengthen brand equity.”
Discussed at a PMMI press event on March 13 in Rosemont, Ill., the CTT’s underlying message is “improving production through innovation,” says PMMI president and CEO Charles Yuska. “We’re pleased to work with Rockwell Automation, which is such an important innovator, to bring this new exhibit to life.”
The press event also provided news about the latest addition to PMMI’s PACK EXPO family of shows, Expo Pack Guadalajara 2013, Feb. 27-March 1. The successful show included more than 100 exhibitors, covering 30,000 net sq. ft. of exhibit space, and showcased the latest technology and solutions in packaging, food processing, converting, containers, materials and more.
“There were triple the attendees we projected,” exclaimed speaker Julie Ackerman, senior director of communications and public relations for PMMI. “By the time the show closed, exhibitors had snatched up more than two-thirds of the available booth space for the next edition, coming in March 2015.”
Also included were an economic outlook presented by economist Andrew Duguay of ITR and discussions about sustainability and how original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and their customers are working together to reach their sustainability bottom lines.
