Continuing its U.S. House of Representatives freshman meet-and-greet series, the American Bakers Association (ABA), Washington, hosted Rep. Richard Hudson from North Carolina on March 14 for an informal discussion on food industry issues.

Hudson currently serves on the House’s Agriculture and Education & Workforce Committees.

Attendees at the meet-and-greet included representatives from Campbell’s Soup Co., the American Beverage Association, National Confectioner’s Association and the Grocery Manufacturers Association.

Topics of discussion included the House’s recently introduced budget legislation, reforming the domestic sugar program and the pending farm bill. The next ABA Meet-and-Greet will be held April 10 with Rep. Luke Messer from Indiana.
