The Tortilla Industry Association (TIA), Arlington, Va., announces that Richard Junge of McDonald’s Corp., Oak Brook, Ill., will be the keynote speaker at its 2013 TIA Technical Conference, which will be held Oct. 5-6 in Las Vegas and co-located with the International Baking Industry Exposition (IBIE) at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Junge, who has led the innovation of new bakery products at the company for the past 10 years, will present “The Future of Tortillas and Healthy Wraps” at 9 a.m. on Oct. 5. McDonald’s has been driving the expansion of mainstream consumption of tortillas and wraps with products such as its Premium McWraps, Snack Wraps and Breakfast Burrito.
