Fleischmann’s supports campaign to end childhood hunger
Fleischmann’s Yeast, St. Louis, an AB Mauri North America brand and a partner of the Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign, is inviting International Baking Industry Exposition (IBIE) attendees to join its effort to end childhood hunger in America.
For every business card it collects from attendees Oct. 6-9 at IBIE in Las Vegas, Fleischmann’s Yeast will donate $5, up to $10,000, to No Kid Hungry. To participate, attendees should drop their business card at the AB Mauri booth (#10619) in the Las Vegas Convention Center.
“We understand the important role baked goods play in providing valuable nourishment to all children,” says Mark Prendergast, president of AB Mauri North America. “Highlighting the Fleischmann’s Yeast partnership with Share Our Strength at IBIE provides another exciting avenue for the baking community to support this great cause.”
The No Kid Hungry campaign connects children in need to effective nutrition programs like school breakfast and summer meals and teaches low-income families to cook healthy, affordable meals through Cooking Matters. This work is accomplished through the No Kid Hungry network, made up of private citizens, public officials, nonprofits, business leaders and others providing innovative hunger solutions in their communities.
