The 2014 edition of the Global Food Safety Conference will convene Feb. 26-28 at the Hotel Hilton Anaheim in Anaheim, Calif. More than 800 food-safety experts from more than 60 countries are expected to attend the annual event.

The theme of this year’s conference is “One World, One Safe Food Supply.” The program will feature practical discussions on the challenges and solutions faced by industry players along the supply chain worldwide—retailers, manufacturers, producers, service providers—as well as other key decision makers, including governments and academia.

Scheduled speakers include Sara Mortimore of Land O’Lakes Inc., Arden Hills, Minn.; David Acheson, M.D., of The Acheson Group, Frankfort, Ill.; Mika Yokota, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Japan; John Carter, Metro Cash & Carry, Germany; Terry Donohoe, Food Standards Agency, United Kingdom; Charlie Arnot, The Center for Food Integrity, Gladstone, Mo.; Russell S. Flowers, Ph.D., Merieux NutriSciences Corp., Chicago; and Martin Wiedmann, Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y. These industry experts will cover topics ranging from risk assessment and global best practices to emerging trends in managing food safety.

Attendees will also be able to network at the opening cocktail exhibition on Feb. 26 and to visit nearby attractions during their stay in Anaheim.
