Michael Douglas “Doug” Horn Sr., president of A.C. Horn & Co., Dallas, died July 5, following a fall from a bicycle. He was 65.

For nearly four decades, Horn worked for A.C. Horn & Co., the business started by his grandfather, Albert C. “Butch” Horn Sr., in 1907 and passed onto him in 1997 by his father, A.C. “Ace” Horn Jr.

Horn was a member of the Snack Food Association (SFA) for more than 27 years, actively attending and exhibiting at SNAXPO. He was instrumental in coordinating and leading the worship service at the show each year and sat on the Associate Executive Council.

Horn was also a member of the Salesmanship Club of Dallas and a sponsor of the HP Byron Nelson Championship.

Horn is survived by his wife, Priscilla; a son, Michael Horn Jr.; two daughters, Suzanne Horn Deriso and Leslie Horn; four grandchildren; and a brother; Albert Horn III.

A celebration of Horn’s life will be held at Park Cities Presbyterian Church, Dallas, on July 9 at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made to Park Cities Presbyterian Church, the Salesmanship Club of Dallas or the Center for BrainHealth in Dallas.
