ConAgra Foods, Omaha, NE, is closing its two remaining popcorn plants in Ohio. The Marion plant will close on Oct. 10, while the Morral plant will close next summer. Both produce Orville Redenbacher microwave popcorn and employ a total of 170 people, according to the company.

“This transition will allow us to re-sharpen our efforts and focus on our popcorn business, and we’re confident that this is the right strategy for the business,” says Monique Farmer, a ConAgra spokesperson.
