Unilever and IOI Loders Croklaan, Channahon, IL, signed a global partnership designed to drive efficiencies and increase the capacity and quality of specialty oils and fats as well as commodity oils. At the heart of the partnership is the shared responsibility of accelerating sustainable market transformation for palm oil. The partnership was signed at Unilever’s Partner to Win Summit in London.

Through this strategic agreement, IOI Loders Croklaan reinforces its commitment to support Unilever in its ambition to double the size of its business, while reducing its environmental footprint and increasing positive social impact.

“As a responsible partner in building a sustainable and transparent palm oil supply chain, we are committed to our Responsible Operating Principles, Sustainable Sourcing Policy and Time Bound Plan to achieve milestones and as further validation of our commitments,” says Julian Veitch, CEO of IOI Loders Croklaan. “The next key milestone is our ability to supply 100% traceable palm oil worldwide by the end of 2014.

“Innovation in oils is critical and has always been in the heart of our business. [It] remains a main enabler to drive our ambitious global growth targets. Together with Unilever, we will create value [from] which both companies will benefit.”
