IOI Loders Croklaan, Channahon, IL, has developed a course to educate members of the food industry about eliminating partially hydrogenated oils (PHOs) from their products.

Titled “PHO Removal 201,” the two-day, hands-on course is designed to assist participants with the seamless removal of PHOs and give them the opportunity to learn about the various options available, with additional focus on the impact of trans fat on nutrition and labeling. According to the company, it also qualifies for Certified Food Scientist re-certification contact hours.

“This course reaffirms IOI Loders Croklaan’s commitment to our customers and the market, enabling them to eliminate PHO without sacrifice to taste, quality or texture,” says Tim Surin, director of sales and marketing.
