Equipment Snapshot: Yaskawa Motoman says its new MH24 six-axis robot excels in assembly, dispensing, material-handling, machine-tending and packaging applications. It features a curved upper arm that enhances its reach and allows for a wider range of applications. A 50 mm thru-hole in the upper arm provides ample space to minimize wear and maximize cable life. The MH24 also has a 1,730 mm horizontal reach and a large work envelope that extends behind the robot, permitting space for robot tool storage or maintenance. Other features include an increased 24-kilogram payload, brakes on all axes, a small interference radius, Sigma-5 motors and advanced robot motion (ARM). A variety of optional features are also available.
