Hostess Brands issued an allergen notification alerting consumers that its Indianapolis bakery is now a nut facility.

Hostess Ho Ho’s and Suzy Q’s and all of Hostess’ peanut butter innovations coming in 2017 will contain peanut flour and/or peanuts. Hostess urges consumers to check ingredient listings and allergen statements on packaging, which has been updated to reflect the addition of these ingredients.

With its continued focus on innovation and new product development, Hostess will now utilize the Indianapolis bakery for developing and testing exciting new nut-containing products for 2017 and beyond. This nut-friendly facility will be conducive to exploring, creating and testing potential new additions to Hostess’s expanding product portfolio, in addition to the continued production of classic Suzy Q’s and Ho Ho’s.

Hostess encourages consumers with any questions or concerns to contact Consumer Affairs where company representatives are on-hand to address inquiries and provide information regarding the change.
