Mark Mix, president of the National Right to Work Committee will join IBA on Tuesday during its Opening Reception at the National Press Club. Mark joined NRTWC over 25 years ago and has made an impact on state and federal labor issues ever since. He frequently appears on Fox News and CNBC, as well as nationally-syndicated radio shows. Mark will give attendees the scoop on the changing dynamics of labor policy in Washington and around the nation.

This year's spouse and family day (Wednesday, June 14th) will include a trip to the Newseum, one of the most engaging DC museums for all ages. The morning tour will be led by an on-site docent, followed by lunch in a private dining room at the Capital Grille, just across the street. Family members can return to the Newseum in the afternoon or can join IBA meeting attendees to spend time exploring Washington on their own.

The Horst G. Denk Legislative Service Awards will be presented to Senators Pat Roberts (R-KS) and Patty Murray (D-WA) for their leadership in the agriculture and food policy field. The award reception will be Wednesday evening at the Capitol Visitor Center.

After the Denk Award reception, Ed Goeas will serve as Keynote Speaker during our BakePAC dinner at the Capitol Hill Club. Ed is president and CEO of The Tarrance Group, one of the most respected and successful Republican survey research and strategy teams in American politics today. Ed will explain his take on the polling "situation" during the 2016 presidential election and will outline potential campaign strategies for the midterm elections.

Attendees may register for the convention via the IBA website under the meetings tab.  Thanks to our meeting sponsors, IBA membership meetings remain free of charge for members, their families, and guests.
