ABA ELDC Public Policy Forum slated for September

The American Bakers Association Executive Leadership Development Committee (ABA ELDC) Public Policy Forum will be held Sept. 17-19 at the Marriott Renaissance Hotel in Washington. The schedule is as follows:

Wednesday, Sept. 17

5-7 p.m. – Industry networking reception and Bakers Dozen Awards Ceremony, The Gold Room on Capitol Hill

Thursday, Sept. 18

7 a.m.—Continental breakfast

7:30-9:30 a.m.—Morning Program Session

  • Welcoming remarks—ELDC co-chair Jesse Amoroso, Amoroso’s Baking Co.
  • Special message from the ABA chairman—Rich Scalise, Hearthside Food Solutions
  • Preparation for Capitol Hill visits—ABA legislative issue review
  • “Lobbying Techniques 101” by Kelly Johnson, Campbell Soup Co.

10 a.m.-Noon—Capitol Hill visits with ABA and Allied Trades of the Baking Industry (ATBI) board members

12:45-1:45 p.m.—Buffet lunch at the Marriott Renaissance Hotel

2-5:30 p.m.—Afternoon Program Session
