With the addition of a state-of-the-art test kitchen and more warehouse space, Nielsen-Massey Vanilla’s newly renovated headquarters addresses growth and customer-centric demands .

The Waukegan, Ill.-based extract producer announced Tuesday the completion of the expansion project that nearly doubled the size of the facility from 33,500-sq. ft. to 62,300-sq. ft.

The company added 24,000-sq-ft. of manufacturing and warehouse space, which allows for the installation of another filling line and 200% more storing capacity. They also built a 1,100-sq.-ft. test and demonstration kitchen for on-site product and recipe development.

Moreover, the company dedicated ,4,800 sq. ft. of the additional 28,800 sq. ft. to office space.

“I think we can safely say we filled it and then some,” says Craig Nielsen, ceo, of the updated facility.

Nielsen-Massey will host an open house and social using ice cream flavored by the company’s vanilla at the Waukegan facility from 1 - 4 p.m. on July 20.

Nielsen-Massey produces pure vanilla products and extracts including Pure Almond, Pure Orange, Pure Lemon and Pure Peppermint. All products are allergen-free, gluten-free and kosher.
