Nestlé has announced plans to invest $15.5 million in equipment upgrades for its Bulgarian production facilities. The new equipment is expected to produce 9,000 tons of the company’s new Kit Kat Senses bars annually. The confectionery industry predicts strong growth rates in Bulgaria in the sugar confectionery, chocolate and gum categories from this year until 2012.
