The Retail Bakers of America, the American Bakers Association and BEMA are launching a baking-focused trade show this fall in Chicago.
The three-day All Things Baking trade event will be geared toward food service professionals looking for ways to take their business to the next level.
Joe Turano, a committee member for the event and director of operations at Turano Baking Co., says the event will deliver educational offerings to attendees, including training sessions.
Session topic will include: product development, business management and marketing, retail baking trends, ethical and eco-friendly practices, food safety, cake and cookie decorating, bread-baking, new development in baking technology and more.
Retail Bakers of American president Felix Sherman, of The Ambrosia Bakery, expects the show to be, “an energetic, innovative and much-anticipated new trade show for those who know the importance of staying current.”
“It’s our intent to supply attendees with the trade information and know-how needed to stay ahead of the baking industry’s fast-moving curve,” he says.
The event is slated to be held Oct. 2-4 in Chicago. Education session will begin at 8 a.m., and conclude before noon. One hour seminars are $10 each and demonstrations on the show floor are free. Interactive session and hands-on classes are $100 and $200 each respectively.
Educational partners for the event include the RBA, the American Bakers Association, BEMA, AIB International, The French Pastry School, The RPIA Group and Kendall College.
