Heat and Control’s new Tortilla Toaster Ovens can be used for the high-volume baking and toasting of corn table tortillas, tortilla chips, tostadas and taco shells. The three-pass ovens offer precise temperature control, true belt tracking and fuel efficiency for restaurant-style and standard tortilla chips and corn tortillas. Its individual burners are PLC-controlled along the length of the oven to customize color and toast points on products of different thickness. Additionally, three tiers of gas burners with infrared burners over the top uniformly distribute heat.

AquaGard, the new stainless steel conveyor from Dorner Manufacturing Corp., offers maximum flexibility and is capable of sustaining speeds up to 260 ft. per minute to improve throughput and bottom line results. To minimize product loss, the new platform offers 1-in. nosebar tails for small part transfers. It also has a powered transfer for maintaining speeds through transfers and a roller transfer plate, which provides smooth product transitions with minimal added length. A new bracket design makes it possible to add a variety of controls, including photo eyes, low-voltage wires, air tubing and more.

Ashworth Bros. completed testing of the Omni-Pro 075 to withstand 125 lb. of tension for 100,000 cycles. Omni-Pro’s state-of-the-art link design includes a patented “protrusion leg” that prevents welds from contacting spiral cage bars and permits the belt to run smoother with less system wear. Unlike a traditional bridge weld, the 360-degree buttonless weld is free from surface imperfections and crevices, which improves hygienic characteristics by eliminating the possibility of bacteria entrapments. Furthermore, each link is formed with a patented coining process to prevent break-in wear, reduce belt elongation and increase belt life.
