Natural Products, Inc. (NPI) announced the completion of a new soy roasting and milling factory in Grinnell, Iowa, where it also is headquartered. The new factory will triple NPI's annual production capacity of roasted full-fat soy ingredients and enable the company to expand its product offering. The factory is scheduled to be in full production next month.

"We are very happy that this project is nearing completion," says Paul Lang, general manager. "The growing demand for full fat soy products both in the U.S. and in international markets is what drove us to initiate the expansion two years ago. The completion of the new factory strengthens our position as the leader in the full fat soy industry worldwide."

In addition to roasting and milling, the new factory includes a state-of-the-art sifting line, giving NPI the ability to produce uniformly-sized sifted grits and meal, suitable for many bakery applications.

"This new equipment and our increased capacity will allow us to continue to grow and enter new markets with our ingredients,” says Jon Stratford, sales and marketing manager.
