Dorner Manufacturing’s new 2300 and 5300 Series conveyors, part of theDustPruf family of conveyors, offer a streamlined frame design that virtually eliminates all catch points where particulates or debris can collect.

According to the Hartland, Wis.-based company, the new conveyors also offerSmartSlot technology, which provides all the integration and add-on capabilities of a T-slot without the inherent drawbacks of slots that collect contaminants or debris.

TheDustPruf series can reduce sanitation and maintenance caused by corrugate paper or other granular and fine particle products that often become airborne only to fall back onto the conveyors during manufacturing.

The new conveyors also have a Food & Drug Administration-approved, low-friction coating on the bedplate that enables the motor to run 20% more efficiently. The coating raises the load capacity by 20% with the same motor, allowing for more energy savings over a larger horse-powered motor.

Since the conveyor frame is smooth with no slots, customers can use the patent-pendingSmartSlotsystem of self-tapping screws and a cordless drill to quickly attach any guiding and automation accessories necessary for their application. A small indentation on the conveyor’s frame directs customers to the best place to install these additional components.

Performance specifications of theDustPruf 2300 Series include widths between 2 in. and 2 ft., lengths up to 24 ft., motor placement at the end or center of the conveyor and a recyclable aluminum frame.

Performance specification of theDustPruf 5300 Series include widths between 8 in. and 3 ft., lengths up to 83 ft., speeds up to 260 ft. per minute and end, nosebar, curve and nosebar curve models.
