Bay State Milling Co., Quincy, Mass., elects Frank van Schaayk to its board of directors. Bay State Milling Company has elected Frank van Schaayk to its Board of Directors.

van Schaayk is regional president, The Americas, for McCain Foods Ltd. He began his career with McCain in 1992 and has served in numerous senior level positions including corporate vice president of its global relationship with McDonald’s Corp.; managing director of McCain Foods Holland and chief executive officer of McCain Foods, USA.

In his current role, Mr. van Schaayk has responsibility for leading McCain’s continued growth in North and South America. He also held a variety of roles in engineering and strategy functions with Shell Canada, Ltd. Mr. van Schaayk holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from St. Francis Xavier University and the Nova Scotia Technical College in Canada. He holds a Chartered Director designation in Canada and is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University.

He fills the seat vacated by the recent retirement of Dr. Richard Young, Director Emeritus, who actively served on the Board from 1974 to 2011. Says Bernard J.
