Clif Bar breaks ground on sustainable bakery in Idaho
Clif Bar & Co., Emeryville, CA, celebrated the groundbreaking of its first owned and operated bakery, the Clif Bar Baking Co., in Twin Falls, ID, on March 12. With a focus on people and sustainability, the new 275,000-square-foot bakery will help the company meet growing demand for organic energy and nutrition bars. Construction on the bakery will begin in April, and the bakery plans to open in spring 2016. When fully operational, the bakery will create more than 200 jobs in the community.
