Rexfab Inc. officially inaugurated its new plant in the Sherbrooke Regional Industrial Park recently. The expansion project has already resulted in significant increases in both the sales figures of the company, which specializes in the manufacture of systems and equipment for the food industry, and in its workforce (a 34% increase in the latter case).
Founded in 1990, and previously located in Brompton’s industrial park, Rexfab Inc. is now well-settled into its premises at 4845 Robert-Boyd Street. The company’s relocation—which required the construction of a new building covering 17 000 ft.2 and more than $1.65M in investments—has made it possible to consolidate 23 full-time jobs and to create 12 new jobs, in engineering, mechanical design, and automation, in particular. The number of hires is three times higher than the number originally anticipated. In addition, Rexfab requires the services of six subcontractors on a full-time basis.
