FDA delays rule requiring revised nutrition facts panel on food
The Food and Drug Administration has decided to delay a rule that would require companies to label their products with a new nutrition facts panel.
Michele Obama had supported the new panel. The format of the new panel would increase the font size of calorie listings, so that sizes would be clearer, and would also show the amount of added sugars in each product.
