Ingredion fibers meet new dietary fiber guidelines
Ingredion Incorporated has announced that three of the Company’s fibers have been identified as meeting the new U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulatory definition of “dietary fiber” for nutrition facts labels. The FDA provided guidance for eight additional isolated or synthetic non-digestible carbohydrates as dietary fibers under the proposed additions to the regulatory definition (21 CRF 101.9(c)(6)(i)).
