EPA recognizes 41 ABA member baking facilities as 2018 ENERGY STAR certified manufacturing plants
American Bakers Association member facilities represent 41 of the 100 manufacturing plants recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) ENERGY STAR certification for their superior energy performance in 2018. Only plants in the top 25 percent of energy performance nationwide can earn the ENERGY STAR.
“Our members’ customers—both retail and the end consumer—have expectations regarding the environmental stewardship of companies receiving their support,” said Rasma Zvaners, vice president of regulatory and technical services. “The ENERGY STAR program is an important component to show our industry cares deeply about sustainability initiatives.”
