Challenges related to filling open positions for skilled and unskilled production personnel have persisted for years. Priorities are shifting through intensified self-reflection and significant societal challenges. Add in perennial waves of retiring, old guard, veteran bakery staff—without apprentices to follow in their footsteps—and the pressure incrementally increases to find solutions to filling our persistent workforce gap.
