RJ’s Licorice
New Zealand Natural Goods, Manhattan Beach, Calif.
(310) 649-6964

Description: New Zealand Natural Goods, a Los Angeles area importer and distributor of specialty food products from New Zealand, has reintroduced RJ’s Licorice with new packaging.

Batch made in New Zealand, the licorice is available in 6.3-oz. and 7.05-oz. resealable stand-up pouches suitable for both shelf placement and peg display. Claims such as ‘free from artificial colors or flavors’, ‘nut-free’, and ‘vegetarian’ are called out on the packages. The Black and Raspberry products are also ‘Project Non-GMO’ and kosher certified.

To meet retailers’ space concerns, the single-serve log format (S.R.P.: $0.99)  is now available in a smaller display that takes up half the space it previously did (stand up or lie flat). The unit count has also been reduced from 30 to a 25 count case.

The new packaging began appearing on shelves in September and should be in most stores by the holidays.

Ingredients (Black): Wheat flour, glucose syrup, (wheat/corn), sugar, water, molasses, humectant (glycerin), licorice extract, treacle, rice bran oil, salt, natural flavor (aniseed oil).

S.R.P. (6.3/7.05 oz.): $3.99
KEYWORDS: licorice New Zealand
