Just Born Quality Confections, maker of brands like Peeps, Mike and Ike, and Hot Tamales, has launched a redesign of its corporate website.

The redesign is meant to communicate the company's commitment to quality and transparency in both its products and its processes. It also aims to highlight the company's heritage as a third-generation family-owned business since 1923 with ties to its hometown community.

"People know and love our brands, but they don't necessarily know Just Born, the company who makes these iconic brands," says Matthew Pye, v.p. of trade relations and corporate affairs. "This web site is designed to give people a glimpse of the company behind these powerful brands and to learn about what we stand for — quality, transparency and heritage."

The new mobile- and tablet-responsive website features a cleaner design, easier navigation, and a "behind the scenes" look at the company. It offers videos on the making of Just Born's products as well as photos of company associates who contribute to the success of the brand and the business.

It also has a section devoted to transparency in order to meet the needs of consumers looking up information on product ingredients, allergens and practices.

The revamped website will also allow consumers to learn about the quality standards of the company and its commitment to the community and environment.

Just Born's Bethlehem, Penn. facility is SQF level two-certified and is landfill-free, with a 97 percent recycle rate and 3 percent waste turned into energy.

Earlier this year, it joined the Children's Confection Advertising Initiative, pledging not to advertise to children under 12. The initiative complement's Just Born's front-of-package labeling program, helping demonstrate the company's commitment to responsible marketing.

And just last year, Just Born received the 2015 Community ImPAct Award, recognizing it for demonstrating the tenet of "doing well by doing good."

"Consumers want to know more about the products they buy and the company behind those products," Pye says. "Our new website allows our consumers to find out more about Just Born and helps us strive to fulfill our vision to be the most respected confectionery company in the world."
