Mondelez names Mohit Bhalla v.p. of corporate development

Global M&A executive to expand company’s “global footprint and focus our snacking portfolio.”

By Alison Soley
June 17, 2015

Mohit Bhalla brings 20 years of experience to his newly appointed position as v.p. of corporate development for Mondelez Int’l.

Specifically, Bhalla, 45, will lead the execution of the company's global merger, as well as acquisition and divestiture activities.

"We couldn't be more pleased to have a seasoned M&A executive with Mohit's credentials joining our team,” says Brian Gladden, executive v.p. and cfo. “As we continue to transform the company, M&A will be a key lever to help us expand our global footprint and focus our snacking portfolio. I'm confident that Mohit brings all the skills and experience we need to succeed in this arena."

Bhalla joins Mondelez Int’l from Altria Group, where he served as v.p. of strategy and business development. He has also held leadership positions with Eastman Chemical Co. and Citigroup.

Bhalla earned his bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and his MBA in finance and accounting from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Mondelez Int’l is a global snacking powerhouse, its 2014 sales reaching $34 billion. The company, known for its iconic brands such as Oreo, Cadbury and Trident gum, operates in 165 countries.
