Organizers for interpack are optimistic the 2021 trade show will take place in Düsseldorf, Germany Feb. 25 to March 3, but they have offered special options for exhibitors in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Messe Düsseldorf said all participating companies will receive discounts on exhibition space pricing. In addition, there is a temporary special termination option for all exhibitors who cannot or do not want to participate.

"We fully understand the reservations and concerns of our exhibitors in the current situation,” said Thomas Dohse, interpack project director. “On the other hand, we have also received feedback on how important personal exchange is for our customers and what significance interpack has for the processing and packaging industry. In this respect, we believe that with our offer we can best protect the interests of all parties involved and would like to thank our partners for their constructive cooperation.”

Messe Düsseldorf said a test hygiene and infection protection program is in place to allow exhibitors and trade visitors to meet safely in the exhibition halls. More information about the hygiene protocol is available on interpack’s website.

In March, organizers postponed the 2020 show, originally scheduled for May, to 2021 under recommendation from the German federal government and the Robert Koch Institute.
