The Midwest is about to get it — IT’SUGAR that is.

Famously irreverent candy retailer IT'SUGAR is opening up a 3,700-sq.-ft. "mega-shop" at the largest retail and entertainment complex in the nation, Mall of America. This will be the first store in Minnesota for the retailer, as well as its biggest in the Midwest. It will open just in time for the holidays.

Known as the country's "most irreverent sweet store," IT'SUGAR is notorious for carrying indulgent candy and playful gifts.

“IT’SUGAR is about giving people of all ages a chance to take a break from their life, their diet and have a good laugh,” says Jeff Rubin, founder and ceo.  “We strive to bring a smile to people’s faces and are thrilled to share that fun with the millions of people who visit the iconic Mall of America each year!”

The new store will be located at the intersection of the complex's newly expanded wing and the north entrance of the Nickelodeon Universe on the second floor. Home to the 5-lb. Gummy Bear and several of the world's largest boxes of candy including Nerds, Sour Patch Kids and Laffy Taffy, the store will feature over a thousand different confections to choose from.

“IT’SUGAR’s playful, beloved brand is a perfect complement to our experiential retail mix at Mall of America,” says Jill Renslow, senior v.p. of marketing and business development for the mall. “Our guests of all ages from around the world will be delighted with the extensive selection of sweets — from giant-sized candy bars to nostalgic brands.”

The new location will add to IT'SUGAR's existing collection of more 75 retail locations in the United States, as well as locations in London, Panama and Grand Cayman.
