Impact Confections appoints former Mars executive to president/ceo position
Colorado Springs, Colo.-based Impact Confections has announced the appointment of Jeff Rome as the company’s new president and ceo.
Rome attained a great deal of knowledge about the confectionery industry through his 25-year career with Mars. He worked in sales, marketing, finance and general management in Mars’ Snack Foods, Pet Care, Food and Electronics business units, along with working as general manager of the M&M’S division. Most recently, Rome held the position of president and ceo of the start-up energy shot company Drinks that Work.
“I am extremely excited about joining Impact Confections and their talented team of leaders, and I look forward to growing and enhancing the strong portfolio of brands,” Rome said.
Impact Confections manufactures 3-D Lollipops in the United States, along with WARHEADS, Lollipop Paint Shop and Carousel Pop brands. The company also owns Cambridge, Wis.-based Melster Candies, which produces Circus Peanuts, Peanut Butter Kisses, Salt Water Taffy, Coconut Toasties, Chocolate Covered Marshmallow and Créme Drops.
