It’s also about the cherries, cherries, cherries for the Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate Co.these days.

The company has created what it claims is the first all-natural chocolate-covered cherry cordial.

The center maraschino cherry is made without any artificial dyes, artificial colors, preservatives or high fructose corn syrup.

“After much research, cherries were located that were naturally grow and processed with natural beet juice, instead of artificial Red #40,” the company explains in a press release. “They were shipped to the company’s candy kitchens, then, naturally flavored, and cordialized without the use of any preservatives. Finally, these unique cherries were dipped in the company’s signature all-natural chocolate.”

The All-Natural Cherry Cordials have a six-month shelf life without the need for any preservatives.

“This reborn confection is amazing. They are full of flavor, with a clean fresh taste — no syrup flavor, no aftertaste and no sugar overload,” the company says.

A 40-gram serving (about 2.5 pieces) is only 130 calories.

The All Natural Cherry Cordials will first be available in all of the Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate Company retail stores by mid-August. Pre-orders for national wholesale accounts started on Aug. 1, and deliveries are expected by mid- August.

Dan Abel Jr. says the company has sold more than 1,000 eight-piece boxes of the All Natural Cherry Cordials in wholesale pre-orders alone.

The new all-natural cherries also will be featured at Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate Company’s trade show booths for the Philadelphia National Candy Show and Winter Fancy Food Show.

Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate Co. started with one retail store, a candy stove and a young candy maker. In 1981, Dan Abel Sr. had just returned to his hometown of St. Louis after apprenticing with European candy makers across the country. Dan had just married and was eager to start a business. The concept was simple: source the finest ingredients in the worldand blend them together in small batches.

More than 30 years later, the company stands behind the roots of its founder. Today, Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate is an award-winning second-generation family business. It has grown from its original location on Historic Route 66 to 10 retail stores and a national gourmet wholesale division that caters to grocery stores, gift shops, specialty shops and candy stores across the country. The company’s new state-of-the-art 30,000-sq.-ft. candy kitchen is the heart of the company, with a staff of candy makers with more than 100 years of combined confectionery experience.
